Emma Wauters, belgian harpist, is a regular guest at Brussels Philharmonic, Opera La Monnaie, Flanders Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonieorchester Aachen. Emma regularly performs chamber music at venues such as Bozar, Concertgebouw Brugge, De Bijloke & Amuz. She was the assistant harp teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (2014-17) and currently holds teaching positions at the LUCA School of Arts in Leuven and at the Music Academy of Schaarbeek, Brussels and the Art Academy of Torhout. 

Emma Wauters studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp with Sophie Hallynck, where she obtained her Master’s degree magna cum laude. She continued her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon with Fabrice Pierre and also took classes with Park Stickney and Sylvain Blassel.

As a young talent, Emma won prizes at the National Rotary Harp Competition (2008, 2nd prize and Young Talent prize), the Belfius Competition (2009, 1st prize), the International Félix Godefroid Competition (2010, 1st prize) and the Martine Géliot Competition (2010, 3rd prize). She was also selected to participate in the Heidelberger Frühling Festival in 2012, where she performed with the Danel Quartet, among others.

Emma is active as a chamber musician and is part of the following chamber music groups:
